Report a Lost or Stolen Card

A lost or stolen card can mean a lot of stress and worry. We’re here to ease your concerns and take the steps necessary to reduce your risk of financial loss and identity theft.

To report a lost or stolen credit card

Please call 1.800.732.9194 (outside the continental U.S. call 1.757.677.4701). We'll cancel your card and issue a replacement immediately. You won't be liable for any fraudulent activity.

To report a lost or stolen ATM card, debit card or checkbook

Please call 1.800.432.1000 (outside the continental U.S. call 1.315.724.4022). If possible, provide the check number for the last check that was written or the name of the person or business to whom it was written. Digital copies of your checks are available through Online Banking.

Report suspicious activity

  • In your email:
    To report a suspicious email that uses Bank of America's name, forward it to us immediately at abuse@bankofamerica.com.
  • On your statement:
    To report fraudulent activity on your Bank of America account, call 1.800.432.1000 or visit your nearest banking center.
