SafePass is Bank of America’s strongest protection against Mobile and Online Banking fraud and identity theft. This additional layer of security lets you authorize transactions using one-time, 6-digit Passcodes sent by text message directly to your mobile phone or tablet.
The SiteKey security feature is an additional layer of identity verification for signing in to Online Banking.

Limitations apply to the information you receive about your accounts. Your Available Balance is the amount of money in your checking or savings account that is currently available for you. It includes all Cleared and Processing transactions. Keep in mind that any transactions you have made but Bank of America has not yet received need to be subtracted from your Available Balance for you to know the exact amount of money you have to spend or withdraw.
The Available Balance does not include:
For credit card account balances, current balance is the total amount of all transactions that have posted to your account. This balance may not include recent transactions that have not yet posted to your account.
Mobile Banking App
Not all Mobile Banking App features are currently available on all mobile devices or with all operating systems. Availability depends on the mobile device’s operating system and capabilities (such as a notification system or a built-in camera). BlackBerry doesn’t have Alerts, deposits or BankAmeriDeals™ functionality. Kindle Fire doesn’t have Alerts, deposits or location services functionality. Wireless carrier fees may apply. Check your wireless carrier agreement for details. With Mobile Banking, you must first enroll in Online Banking and set up Transfers and Bill Pay.
Mobile Check Deposit: You must first enroll in Online Banking and download the Mobile App. Deposits are subject to verification and not available for immediate withdrawal. Deposit limits and other restrictions apply. See Terms & Conditions for details, including information on funds availability. Wireless carrier fees may apply. Currently available via the Bank of America Mobile Banking App for iPad®, iPhone®, Android™ phones and tablets and Windows® phones only. Requires at least a 2-megapixel camera. This feature is not available on the Mobile Website.
Bank of America does not charge for Text Banking. However, your mobile service provider may charge for sending and receiving text messages on your mobile phone. Check with your service provider for details on specific fees and charges that may apply.
Supported carriers include: Alltel, AT&T, Cellular One, T-Mobile, Virgin Mobile, US Cellular, Verizon Wireless. Message and data rates may apply. Text STOP to 692632 to stop text alerts and text HELP to 692632 for help.
Your use of the Text Banking Service ("Service") constitutes your agreement to these terms and conditions. We may amend these terms, and modify or cancel the Service or any of its features without notice.
You agree to provide us with a valid mobile number. You agree that we may send you text messages through your wireless provider. We do not charge for the Service, but you are responsible for all charges and fees associated with text messaging imposed by your wireless service provider.
You understand that balances provided may not include recent or pending transactions that have not yet posted to your account and that other restrictions may apply. See your account agreement for more information.
Notify us immediately of any changes to your registered Device. In case of unauthorized access to your Device or Service, you agree to cancel enrollment associated with the Device immediately.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold us harmless from any third party claims, liability, damages or costs arising from your use of the Service or from you providing us with a phone number that is not your own.
You agree that we will not be liable for failed, delayed, or misdirected delivery of any information sent through the Service; any errors in such information; any action you may or may not take in reliance on the information or Service; or any disclosure of account information to third parties resulting from your use of the service. We will not be liable to you for special, indirect or consequential damages.
