Online and Mobile Banking it's about knowing your information is protected, understanding your security options, and knowing Bank of America takes your security seriously.
That's why your new Security Center follows you wherever you go, giving you the tools to manage your security all in one place.
So, review Bank of America's new Security Center, and let it guide you through the security settings and choices that are right for you.
Always check your browser bar before you sign-in to ensure it's the real Bank of America site.
Look for www.bankofamerica.com, the lock icon, green text.
When you sign-in for the first time from any new computer, phone, or tablet, you'll be prompted to verify your identity and to choose a "Security Preference" for that device.
For faster sign-in on a trusted device, choose "remember this computer or device."
If you prefer to answer a challenge question at every sign-in, choose "don't remember."
After you've signed in, click Profile & Settings to see all the choices available in your Security Center.
Once you make a selection, you'll land on one of three tabs, Sign-in Settings, Security Alerts, or Sign-in History.
From Sign-in Settings, you can change your Online ID, Passcode, challenge questions, and security preference.
On all three tabs of Online Banking you can choose from Advanced Security Options, including Extra Security at Sign-In, giving you the option to add a one time authorization code sent via text or email to help verify your identity at each sign-in from your computer, phone, or tablet.
Your new Security Center offers access to both automatic and optional Security Alerts.
You're automatically alerted if we detect any unusual credit or debit card activity, or changes to your contact information.
You can also choose from optional Security Alerts.
Bank of America recommends you change your passcode frequently, so you have the option to be reminded to change yours every 90 days, and to be notified if your Online ID is used to sign-in from a new or unknown device.
When you click the Sign-in History tab you can review the last 20 sign-ins with your online ID. If there are any you don't recognize, check your account to look or fraudulent transactions.
Bank of America is always working behind the scenes to help keep your information safe.
And your new Security Center offers you the tools and guidance to help manage your security, no matter when, where, or how you bank online.
This is your Security Center from Bank of America.
