You have read the accompanying application, and you affirm that everything you have stated is true and complete. You are at least 18 years of age or you are at least 21 years of age if a permanent resident of Puerto Rico. You authorize FIA Card Services, N.A. (hereinafter “us” or “our”) to obtain your credit report(s), employment history and any other information in order to approve or decline this application, service your account, and manage our relationship with you. You consent to our sharing of information about you and your account with the organization, if any, endorsing this credit card program. You authorize us to share with others, to the extent permitted by law, such information and our credit experience with you. In addition, you may as a customer later indicate a preference to exempt your account from some of the information-sharing with other companies (“opt-out”). If you accept or use an account, you do so subject to the terms of this application, the “Details of Rate, Fee and Other Cost Information” and the Credit Card Agreement, as it may be amended; you also agree to pay all charges incurred under such terms. Any changes you make to the terms of this application will have no effect. You understand that only a portion of your Total Credit Line will be available for Bank Cash Advances. You accept that on a periodic basis your account may be considered for automatic upgrade at our discretion. You consent to and authorize us, any of our affiliates, or our marketing associates to monitor and/or record any of your phone conversations with any of our representatives. Virgin Atlantic World Elite MasterCard® Rewards Program Summary. If you are not a current member of the Virgin Atlantic Airways Flying Club Program, you will automatically be enrolled upon card approval. Earned miles are based on new net purchases (qualifying purchases less credits, returns, and adjustments) (“Net Purchases”) you make with your Virgin Atlantic World Elite MasterCard® credit card from Bank of America during each periodic billing cycle. You will receive three (3) Flying Club miles for each one U.S. dollar ($1.00) in Net Purchases of Virgin Atlantic Airways tickets and duty free items purchased directly from Virgin Atlantic Airways and one and a half (1.5) Flying Club miles for each one U.S. dollar ($1.00) in all other Net Purchases. Please allow approximately four to six weeks for Flying Club miles to be credited to your Flying Club account. Flying Club miles will not be earned for balance transfers, cash advances, including purchases of money orders or other cash equivalents, fees, interest charges, and fraudulent transactions, unless specified otherwise.
You will receive 20,000 Flying Club miles after your first purchase made with your card. 7,500 anniversary Flying Club miles will be posted to your Flying Club account when you spend a minimum of $15,000 in Net Purchases within the anniversary year with your card. An additional 7,500 anniversary Flying Club miles will be awarded when you spend $25,000 in Net Purchases within the anniversary year with your card. Earned Anniversary Flying Club miles will be posted to your Flying Club account each year within four to six weeks of the anniversary of your card’s open date.
If you spend at least $25,000 in Net Purchases using your card within a year (beginning on the date you open your account and continuing for every 12 month period thereafter), the primary cardholder will also qualify for an Economy companion reward ticket for half the standard miles of a reward economy seat, maximum one reward companion ticket per year. You must pay flight related taxes, fees and charges relating to the complimentary reward flight. These will vary according to the qualifying destination, and are subject to change as a result of fluctuations in taxes, airport levies and exchange rates. Both travelers must be on the same flights and travel itinerary. Flights and routes are subject to availability. To qualify for the companion reward, the initial ticket must be a Virgin Atlantic reward ticket purchased by redeeming the relevant Flying Club miles. Notification of the companion reward will be on your Flying Club statement four to six weeks after reaching the $25,000 spend threshold. The reward companion ticket must be redeemed within one year of issue. Please note that the annual fee is not billed as a purchase and will not be considered in any of the Net Purchase thresholds described in this disclosure.
You will earn one (1) tier point for every $2,500 spent on Net Purchases with the card. A maximum two (2) tier points can be earned per month. You will receive 2,500 Flying Club miles for each of the first two authorized users added to your card. As the primary Cardmember you are responsible for all account activity incurred by additional users of your card, in accordance with your Credit Card Agreement. You are solely responsible for any tax that may be applicable to your miles earnings from your card. The value of these rewards may constitute taxable income to you. Overdraft transfers to your Bank of America checking account from your eligible credit card account will be Bank Cash Advances under your Credit Card Agreement. Transfers will be subject to the terms of both your Credit Card Agreement and the account agreement(s) and disclosures governing your Bank of America checking account. If you link your Bank of America checking account to your credit card for Overdraft Protection, we will automatically transfer funds in multiples of $100 from your credit card account to cover any overdraft on your checking account, as long as the portion of credit available for cash on your credit card account is sufficient and you are not in default under your Credit Card Agreement. A fee of $10 will apply for each transaction. The fee will not be assessed if your checking account is overdrawn by a total amount less than $10, after we finish processing for the day. The Bank Cash Advance will accrue interest at the APR stated in your Credit Card Agreement. If the portion of credit available for cash on your credit card account is insufficient to cover the amount required by the overdraft (in the multiple of funds stated above), we may advance the funds even if it causes your credit card account to exceed your Cash Credit Line. Linking Overdraft Protection from your Bank of America checking account to your credit card will end any Overdraft Protection connections to your Bank of America savings account. If the total amount you request exceeds your Total Credit Line, we may send full or partial payment to your creditors in the order you provide them to us. Allow at least 2 weeks from account opening for processing. Continue paying each creditor until the transfer appears as a credit. Balance Transfers incur interest charges from the transaction date. If you revolve your balance to take advantage of a promotional or introductory offer, all transactions and balances, including purchases, will be charged interest. The Balance Transfer fee is 3% of the amount of the transaction (min. $10). If you have a dispute with a creditor and pay that balance by transferring it to your new account, you may lose certain dispute rights.
