How to send money using email and mobile transfers

  1. Sign in to Online Banking, then from the Transfers tab select Send money to someone using their email address or mobile number.
  2. Select Add email or mobile recipient and complete the info for the person you’d like to transfer to. For security purposes, you’ll be asked to enter a card number or some other form of security, then select Add recipient.
  3. Select your recipient, add the amount you’d like to send, confirm everything looks good and select Make Transfer.

You will receive confirmation of your transfer. Your recipient will be notified by text or email. If the recipient is a Bank of America customer (and has completed the one-time email address or mobile number registration through Online or Mobile Banking), the money will be deposited immediately into the account. If the recipient is not a Bank of America customer, he or she will receive an email or text that tells them someone is trying to send them money and explains how to register to receive it.
