The Robert E. Leet & Clara Guthrie Patterson Trust application grant review process is administered by The Medical Foundation, a division of HRiA. The application deadline is generally in July of each year and the notification period is in December. For more information, visit HRiA’s website. A link is provided in the Application & procedures section of this page.

The Patterson Trust will provide support to mentored investigators conducting clinical research across a range of research disciplines, broadly defined to include patient-oriented research and translational laboratory research. The primary goal of the Program is to accelerate clinical research by offering K23 and K08 Award Recipients the resources to explore research activities not supported by the NIH K Awards. Pilot and preliminary studies are encouraged.

Up to 9, 1-year $75,000 grants will be awarded to NIH-funded K08 or K23 Award Recipients working in Connecticut and New Jersey. The Patterson Trust Clinical Research Award recipients will have the option to expend the award across 1 or 2 years.
