    • Locate a specific check or deposit transaction by viewing your past paper statements online by selecting the Statements & Documents tab for your account
  • Show How can I obtain a copy of a check?

You can view and print electronic images of recently posted checks and deposit slips through Small Business Online Banking. On the Account Activity page, find the check transaction you want to view. To see an image of a check, click the View Check link. You can also request that a copy of a check be mailed to you by selecting the Information & Services tab for your account. There may be a charge for this service. Please refer to your applicable account agreement.

  • Show What is a processing transaction?

Processing transactions include credits and debits that have not yet posted to your account. They may also include holds applied to certain transactions or your balance. A transaction made with your ATM or debit card using a PIN is typically processed and posted to your account on the same day of the transaction or the next business day after the transaction is made. A transaction made with your debit card but without your PIN may take several business days to post to your account.

When we approve a request to authorize your debit card transaction, we may reduce the available balance in your account by the amount listed in the request by the merchant. Your remaining available balance must be sufficient to cover checks and other debits that post to your account or you may incur charges such as overdraft or returned item fees. When the debit card transaction posts to your account, or after 3 business days, we add this amount back to your available balance. The amount is not applied to any specific transaction or item. Some debit card transactions may not show as pending transactions and may not affect your available balance until they post.

In some cases the amount of the processing transaction may not match the actual amount of the transaction. This is because some merchants request us to authorize a nominal amount such as $1 or the amount that they estimate you will spend, which could be higher or lower than the actual amount of the transaction. When the transaction posts, your account is charged the amount of the transaction presented by the merchant.

  • Show Can I view my paper account statement online?

Yes. For eligible accounts, Bank of America automatically provides an electronic version of current and past paper account statements through Small Business Online Banking. These online statements are an electronic version of the paper statements that are sent in the mail. In addition to viewing them, you can also download them, save them or print them at your convenience. Eligible accounts include all Bank of America consumer checking accounts as well as any other accounts that are part of a combined statement.

  • Show How do I switch to paperless statements?

You can save paper and avoid messy filing by requesting that we stop mailing you paper statements. Simply go to Profile & Settings after you sign in to Small Business Online Banking and click the Paperless settings link. We will send you an email every month reminding you that your statement is available for viewing online. If there are changes to account terms and conditions or other legal notifications, they will also be presented online along with your account statements. You can always resume delivery of your paper statements at a later date by calling Customer Service or by going to Profile & Settings within Online Banking and clicking the Paperless settings link.

  • Show Can I set up online alerts or notifications related to my account?

Yes. Online alerts can be set up to notify you of important events related to your checking account. For example, you can set up an alert that notifies you via email that a direct deposit has been made to your account or that your account balance has dropped below a particular amount. To set up these alerts, sign in to Small Business Online Banking, select Profile & Settings and then click on the Alert settings link.
