Mission

Katrine Deakins was executive secretary to Amon G. Carter and helped found the Amon G. Carter Foundation. She was the Foundation’s executive director and was very active in numerous professional, social and charitable organizations throughout her life.

Katrine established her own trust in 1987, the Katrine Menzing Deakins Charitable Trust to benefit several favored charities in addition to other charitable organization requests selected each year by the trustees.

Guidelines

The Katrine Menzing Deakins Charitable Trust deadline is August 1.

Preference is given to organizations, operating in, or serving Tarrant County.

Eligibility to re-apply for a grant award from the Katrine Menzing Deakins Charitable Trust requires organizations to skip 1 grant cycle (1 year) before submitting a subsequent application. For example, if your organization submitted a grant application for the August 2019 deadline and received a grant award within the same year, your organization would not be eligible to re-apply until August of 2021.

Grants are typically between $1,000 and $25,000.
