Announcing the new Jeffress Trust Award Program
U.S. Trust is pleased to announce the Jeffress Trust Awards Program in Interdisciplinary Research. This new program replaces the former Jeffress Memorial Trust Award (see below) but remains true to the mission of the Jeffress Memorial Trust to benefit the people of Virginia in, and devoted to, research in chemical, medical or other scientific fields. U.S. Trust is working with The Medical Foundation, a division of Health Resources in Action, which will administer this new award program going forward.
New emerging technologies and research capabilities are being fueled by advances in computational and quantitative science that exploit the power of mathematical modeling and analytics, accelerating discovery across scientific fields. The new Jeffress Memorial Trust Program provides seed funding to support one?year pilot studies of $100,000 that encourage the development of innovative interdisciplinary strategies that integrate computational and quantitative scientific methodologies across a broad range of scientific disciplines. The research areas currently eligible for Jeffress support include astronomy, biosciences, chemistry, computer sciences, engineering, environmental sciences, material science, mathematics and physics.
Please note that the application deadline is January 15 and the former biannual September and March deadlines no longer apply.
