What you need to know

Your Bank of America prepaid debit card can no longer be used. Contact Prepaid Account Servicing to:

  • Request a check to retrieve any remaining funds.
  • Change the address on your account.

Did you know, many questions or requests can be taken care of through email? Just send us a message at prepaidrequest@bofa.com with your full name, address, phone number associated with your account, and a brief description of your request.

What happens if you don't retrieve your entire card account balance

  • Any remaining balance will be reported and remitted as unclaimed property to the appropriate state, in accordance with and after a period of time defined by that state's escheatment laws.
  • Once funds are turned over to the state, Bank of America will no longer be liable for them. To reclaim your funds, you’ll need to apply through the appropriate state agency.
