You can schedule future-dated transfers between your Bank of America accounts up to a year in advance. Recurring transfers can be made at regular intervals such as once a week, once a month, every 3 months and more. There are some limitations to the types of accounts available for recurring or future-dated transfers. See the online banking Service Agreement or the Small Business online banking help section for specifics.

Yes. You can make immediate transfers from your personal and business credit card to your linked checking or savings account. Transfers from your credit card will be treated as cash advances and additional fees may apply. Please see your card service agreement for more details.

If you would like to pay your Bank of America personal credit card bill, you can use the Transfer Funds function to make either immediate, future-dated or recurring transfers. All you need to do is select your credit card account as the "To" account and follow the instructions.

Business Card accounts can also be paid using Bill Pay functionality.

Yes. You can make immediate, future-dated or recurring payments using Transfer Funds. You also have several different payment options with this service including regular payment, principal only and escrow only (mortgage only).

Yes. You can set up your Small Business account as a transfer recipient in online banking.

Use a computer to log in to your personal account.

Follow these steps:

1. Go to the Transfers | Zelle® tab and select "To someone's BofA account."
2. Select "Add Bank of America account recipient." Enter your business name and account number.
3. Once you set up your Small Business account as a recipient, you can transfer funds from your personal account by going to "Using Someone's Account Number At Bank of America" in online banking.

Alternatively, you can register your Small Business account in Zelle® and transfer funds from your personal account.

You can transfer funds among all your business accounts except your business Certificate of Deposit (CD).

Balance Connect® for overdraft protection is an optional service which allows you to link your eligible small business checking account to up to 5 other Bank of America accounts and automatically transfers available funds from your linked backup account(s) to cover transactions that exceed the available balance in your checking account. This can help you avoid declined transactions, returned checks and overdrafts.

If you're about to overdraw your account, we'll automatically transfer available funds from your linked backup account. If you've linked multiple backup accounts, we'll automatically transfer available funds from those accounts in the order you established. Only one transfer will be made from each linked backup account to your checking account, even when multiple transactions are covered. An overdraft protection transfer won't be made unless it can cover at least one transaction.

Most small business checking accounts can be enrolled in Balance Connect® for overdraft protection and linked with up to 5 eligible backup accounts such as a Small Business savings account, a Small Business checking account, or a Small Business credit card.

You can set up or make changes to Balance Connect® in our Mobile Banking app, Business Advantage 360, or by calling the number on your account statement or scheduling an appointment at a nearby financial center.

There are no transfer fees when you use Balance Connect® for overdraft protection. Please refer to the Deposit Agreement and Disclosures for more details.

Keep in mind that overdraft protection transfers from a credit card will accrue interest at the Cash Advance APR.

Yes, if there aren't enough available funds in your checking account or linked backup account to cover an item, we'll either pay it for you, overdrawing your account, we'll decline it, or we'll return it unpaid. In these cases, you may be charged a fee. A merchant or third party could also charge you a fee if your payment is not made.

Yes, you can link up to 5 backup accounts and determine the order in which those accounts are accessed.

An overdraft happens when you don't have enough money available to cover a purchase or a payment. Another way of saying this is an overdraft happens when a transaction exceeds your available balance. When this happens, we'll either pay it for you, overdrawing your account, or we'll decline it or return it unpaid. We make this decision at our discretion based on several factors such as the transaction amount and your account history.

This is the amount of money in your account that is available to spend, withdraw or cover transactions. Your available balance is updated throughout the day based on your account's activity. Your available balance incorporates any holds on your account, such as holds for debit card transactions we've authorized, and deposit holds.

Keep in mind that there are a few things that are not included in your available balance such as checks you've written that we haven't received yet and upcoming automatic payments you've set up. You'll also want to account for transactions where the final amount may differ from the amount that was originally authorized, such as when a tip is added to a restaurant charge.

It depends on the type of transaction. If you don't have enough money to cover:

A one-time debit card purchase such as office supplies or a recurring debit card payment such as a membership or subscription service, we may allow the payment to go through, overdrawing your account, and may charge a fee. If we don't allow the payment to go through, we won't charge a fee.

An ATM withdrawal, we will decline the transaction and we won't charge a fee.

A Check, Bill Pay payment or scheduled electronic payment using your routing and account number, we may allow the payment to go through, overdrawing your account, and may charge a fee. If we don't allow the payment to go through, we won't charge a fee, but the payee may.

The best way to avoid overdrafts is to always make sure you have enough money to cover your purchases and upcoming payments. We have some great tools that can help you monitor your account balance and activity:

• Mobile app - Check your available balance at any time, 24/7.
• Alerts - Get your available balance daily, be notified when certain types of transactions (such as scheduled payments) impact your available balance during the day and more.
• Insights from Erica - Get valuable insights from our virtual financial assistant such as Balance Watch, which lets you know if your account balance is trending toward $0.

Don't forget to account for checks you've written that we haven't received yet, as well as upcoming automatic payments and transactions where the final amount may change, such as when you add a tip to a restaurant charge.

You may want to consider Balance Connect® for overdraft protection - With this optional service, we'll automatically transfer available funds from your linked backup account(s) to help cover purchases and payments or help prevent declined and returned transactions.

We start with the balance in your account at the beginning of the business day and then subtract transactions that are processing but haven't cleared yet, such as a late-night gas purchase and other holds. The remaining balance is available to cover the transactions we receive that day. We then post transactions to your account in the following order:

* If our system does not receive date and time information, or can't detect the check number, remaining transactions are posted from highest to lowest dollar amount

We charge overdraft fees when a transaction exceeds your available balance. Your Account Details section in Mobile and Business Advantage 360 show transactions that posted to your account on a given day. You can see how processing transactions and holds impacted your available balance and the order in which transactions were posted to your account by viewing your Account Balance History in Business Advantage 360, our Small Business online banking platform.

Let's walk through an example:

1. On May 1 you start the day with $500.
2. You buy $75 worth of office supplies, so your available balance is now $425.
3. A $450 check you wrote comes through, which would exceed your available balance by $25.
4. If we cover the check, your account would be overdrawn by $25 and we would charge you a $10 overdraft fee.

Account Details in Mobile and Business Advantage 360 would show the $450 check and the $10 overdraft fee for May 1. The $75 office supplies purchase was still processing, so it didn't post to your account on May 1. Account Balance History in Business Advantage 360 would show how the $75 office supplies purchase, which was still processing, lowered your available balance to $425, which was less than the $450 check, causing an overdraft and an overdraft fee.

Keep in mind that Account Balance History is only available after transactions have posted to your account. The link for Account Balance History can be found just below your available balance on the Account Details screen in Online Banking.

You can ask us to apply the Decline All overdraft setting to your account. With this setting we'll decline or return transactions if you don't have enough money in your account at the time of the transaction, and we won't charge you a fee. Keep in mind, a merchant or payee could charge you a fee if your payment is not made.
