Sending an international wire is easy: Once you’ve signed into Online Banking select the Using their account number at another bank link from the Transfers navigation tab and follow the instructions. Before starting, make sure you have all the correct recipient bank details.

  • To make an international wire transfer, you must have a Bank of America checking or savings account
  • Funds generally arrive at the recipient bank in 2 business days

  • A wire transfer is an electronic payment service for transferring funds by wire, for example through SWIFT, the Federal Reserve Wire Network or the Clearing House Interbank Payments System.

  • Sign in to Online Banking and select the Transfers tab, then select the Outside the Bank Transfers tab. You can also make an international wire transfer at a Bank of America banking center.

  • Bank of America's SWIFT code BOFAUS3N can be used for incoming wires in U.S. dollars or foreign currency. SWIFT members include banks, broker-dealers and investment managers. While not always required, a SWIFT code may be required by some banks for the completion of wire transfers.
