  • Show What is an ABA routing number?

    The ABA routing number is a 9-digit identification number assigned to financial institutions by The American Bankers Association (ABA). This number identifies the financial institution upon which a payment is drawn. Routing numbers are sometimes referred to as "check routing numbers", "ABA numbers", or "routing transit numbers" (RTN). Routing numbers may differ depending on where your account was opened and the type of transaction made.

  • Show How do I know which ABA routing number to use?

    Routing numbers depend on the type of transaction:

    • Paper Transactions: order checks
    • Electronic transactions: set up direct deposits (e.g. to receive paychecks or IRS refunds); make outgoing payments to other financial institutions;
    • Wire transfers: receive incoming domestic or international wire transfers

    You can find the correct routing number for the type of transaction you want to make by or ABA Routing Number Selector

  • Show What if my state has more than one ABA routing number?

    There are more than one set of routing numbers for the following states: Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri and Texas.

    If you are not sure which routing number to use, you can sign in to Online Banking, select your desired account and go to the Information & Services tab. If you do not have access to Online Banking or need further assistance in determining which routing number to use, please contact customer service and we will be happy to help you.

  • Show Where can I find my ABA routing number on my check?

    sample_check_image

    The sample check graphic shows where the ABA routing number can be found on your checks. This routing number is used for paper transactions, such as ordering checks.

    For electronic transactions or wire transfers, please refer to our ABA Routing Number Selector

  • Show What is the Automated Clearing House (ACH) number?

    The Automated Clearing House (ACH) is an electronic payment delivery system which allows you to make payments or collect funds electronically through the ACH network. We can help you take advantage of the speed and efficiency of electronic payments and collections available through the ACH network, giving you better control over the timing of payments that post to your bank account(s). ACH transactions are usually next-day entries when exchanged with other financial institutions. ACH functions include direct deposits and check conversions from paper to electronic.

    For ACH transactions, please use the routing number for electronic transactions.
