Overdraft Items and NSF: Returned Items
When you do not have enough available funds to cover a check or other item, we may either pay it and charge you an Overdraft Item Fee or return it unpaid and charge you a NSF: Returned Item Fee.
Note: Your account will automatically be set to the Standard Overdraft Setting. This means we will only authorize ATM transactions and everyday (non-recurring) debit card purchases when there's enough money in your checking or linked Overdraft Protection account. Otherwise, the transaction will be declined, so you won't pay an Overdraft Item Fee. There is an exception for some ATM withdrawals: We may give you the opportunity at our ATMs to agree to our ATM overdraft services for a specific ATM withdrawal that exceeds your current available balance and if you agree, we authorize and pay that ATM withdrawal. Each time you agree, your consent applies only to that withdrawal. Please note: Overdraft Item fees may apply to these withdrawals. We inform you at the ATM when this is available.
Checks, online bill payments, recurring debit card payments and other electronic payments using your checking account number may be approved and you would pay a $35 Overdraft Item Fee for each transaction, or your transaction may be declined and you would pay a $35 NSF: Returned Item Fee for each transaction. If declined, recurring debit card transactions are not charged a fee.
$35
When we determine that your account is overdrawn after we finish processing for the day, and we pay for the transaction or transactions, we charge an Overdraft Item Fee of $35.00 per item.
NSF: Returned Item Fees are also $35 per item and are charged when we decline or return your transactions when you do not have sufficient funds in your account to pay for the transaction or transactions.
You are charged for no more than 4 Overdraft Item and Returned Item Fees per day.
Extended Overdrawn Balance Charge
Applies when we determine that your account has been overdrawn for 5 or more consecutive business days.
$35 For each time that your account is overdrawn by any amount for 5 or more consecutive business days, we charge one Extended Overdrawn Balance Charge.
