What is Lockbox? Lockbox is a service whereby receivables are mailed directly to a Bank of America post office box. Bank of America then processes and deposits the receipts to client accounts.
Who it's for Lockbox is for companies with large dollar-size remittances that total less than 500 transactions per month.
Benefits
- Accelerated mail receipt. Our bonded couriers retrieve mail multiple times a day. Unique lockbox-only ZIP codes reduce sorting time and provide access to your mail 24 hours a day. The mail float on your remittances is substantially reduced.
- Efficient remittance processing. Your lockbox is assigned to a team who will follow your specific instructions to process your work quickly and accurately.
- Rapid check deposit. Our goal is to turn your receivables into cash for you as quickly as possible. We deposit multiple times throughout the day and work with other major banks and clearing houses to ensure that your funds are available to you as soon as possible.
- Fast, accurate information transmission. We forward all remittance information back to you the same day your checks are processed. We can send it overnight or mail it through the U.S. Mail.
