Bank of America Sponsors USO at the Ballpark; Stolen Base Program to Generate $50,000 for the USO
Building on a longstanding commitment to service and volunteerism, Bank of America is proud to partner with USO (United Service Organizations)Footnote * throughout the 2010 Minor League Baseball™ (MiLB™) season. This partnership extends opportunities to active military personnel, veterans and their families to enjoy a night at the ballpark, complete with a meal and the chance to throw out the honorary first pitch. Bank of America and USO will be partnering on MiLB military nights in 12 cities across the country where Bank of America's support of the USO will be spotlighted at a number of games in each of those cities during the course of the 2010 campaign.
To further demonstrate our company's commitment to education, workforce development, and health and human service programs for current military personnel, veterans and their families, Bank of America is also donating $25 for every stolen base recorded by 17 select clubs throughout the 2010 Minor League Baseball season for a maximum donation of $50,000.
In addition to attending the ball game, guests will be invited to either attend a pre-game picnic or receive vouchers to use towards food purchase at stadium vendors. As an added treat, two guests or their family members will be given the opportunity to throw out an honorary first pitch before the start of each game.
