Mobile Banking Frequently Asked Questions

Mobile Web lets you visit www.bofa.mobi, Bank of America’s site for accessing your accounts from a mobile device or phone’s Web browser. With Mobile Web you can sign in to www.bofa.mobi and:

• View account balances
• View up to 70 days of account activity
• Transfer funds between transfer accounts you’ve established in Online Banking
• Pay your bills to Pay To accounts you’ve set up in Online Banking
• Locate ATMs and banking centers

Mobile Web is a free service for all Bank of America customers enrolled in Online Banking. You will need to contact your mobile services provider for any charges that may apply to Web browser usage on your phone.

You will need a Bank of America account that is enrolled in Online Banking, and a mobile phone that can access the Internet that is on our list of supported devices.

Visit www.bofa.mobi on your phone's Web browser. When prompted, enter your Online Banking ID, then verify your SiteKey and enter your Passcode, just as you would in Online Banking. The first time you sign in, you will be prompted to answer one of your challenge questions. After you sign in successfully, you can select a task from the main menu.

If you add www.bofa.mobi to your favorites, you’ll save time making future visits.

Yes, Mobile Web certifies all devices before adding them to the list of supported devices to ensure that all transactions are fully encrypted and secure. To use Mobile Web, you will be required to sign in the same way you would with Online Banking, with SiteKey as an extra layer of security. Additionally, we do not allow your Passcode or any account information to be stored on your phone.

On rare occasions, some users may experience issues with entry fields or viewing text and graphics. If this happens, first turn your phone off and then on again. If the problem persists, try clearing out the internet cache on your phone. An explanation on how to do this should be in your phone's manual or check with your carrier for more information.

To add the Bank of America Web clip icon to the Home screen of your iPhone:

• Upgrade to the latest version of the iPhone software (available through iTunes). The new software includes new features such as creating Web Clips.
• Visit www.bofa.mobi through your iPhone browser, touch the "+" symbol and select the option for Add to Home Screen.

The Mobile Applications provide a customized Mobile Web experience designed specifically for your phone. You can download an application to many popular devices, including iPhone and iPod touch, Android and Blackberry. Plus, we’ve built in added conveniences like one-touch sign and other capabilities that take advantage of your phone’s features.

With Mobile Web, you use your mobile phone's Web browser to access your Bank of America account information. Our Mobile Applications, on the other hand, can be downloaded to your phone and provide a unique experience designed for the iPhone and iPod touch, Android and Blackberry.

Our iPhone application is available through the iTunes^® App Store, where you can download it for free.

Our Blackberry application is available for devices with an Operating System of 4.2 or higher. You can download it for free by:

• Sending a text message to 65579 with BlackBerry in the subject line and we will send you the link directly to your device.
