Lesson 2 - Using Transaction Registers

For any transaction, you can divide the amount of the transaction among more than one category. This is called splitting categories.
For example, you write a $470 check to Mary Anne's Bargain Hut for purchases you made there, including Mother's Day gifts, a new lamp, and prescriptions. Since this single transaction includes purchases of different categories, you split the transaction as follows:
