Here are the priorities defined for the markets within Washington:

Eastern Washington

  1. Arts and Culture with an emphasis on multicultural programs and access to the arts for underserved communities
  2. Community Development with an emphasis on affordable housing, small business development and neighborhood revitalization
  3. Health and Human Services with an emphasis on United Way support, affordable health care, family support services and affordable child care

Northwest Washington (Whatcom, Skagit, Snohomish, San Juan Island, Clallam, and Jefferson counties)

  1. Community Development with an emphasis on affordable housing and workforce development
  2. Education with an emphasis on K-12, including after school programs
  3. Health and Human Services with an emphasis on United Way support

Seattle (King City/Pierce & Snohomish Counties)

  1. Community Development with an emphasis on affordable housing, neighborhood revitalization and workforce development
  2. Education with an emphasis on early childhood development; English as a second language; financial literacy; K-12, including after school programs; and youth mentoring programs
  3. Health and Human Services with an emphasis on United Way support

Southwest Washington (Kitsap, Grays Harbor, Mason, Thurston, Pacific, Lewis, Wahkiakum, and Cowlitz counties)

  1. Arts and Culture with an emphasis on arts education and access to the arts for underserved communities
  2. Community Development with an emphasis on affordable housing and workforce development
  3. Education with an emphasis on K-12, including after school programs, and financial literacy
