We believe ensuring vulnerable populations in the community have access to basic human services is a critical component to revitalizing the economy. In response to the significant need facing food banks across the country, Bank of America is providing nearly $2 million in grants and thousands of volunteer hours in support of local hunger relief programs through a partnership with Feeding America, the nation’s largest hunger relief organization. In addition, thousands of Bank of America associates are volunteering in communities across the country, in activities ranging from packing and sorting food to harvesting fruits and vegetables for hunger relief programs.

And, in conjunction with emergency food assistance, we are bringing financial education to local food bank programs in California where bank volunteers have provided financial education on savings and budgeting to low-income senior citizens to help them gain greater understanding of tools to achieve greater financial well being in addition to much-needed food and nutrition
