|
The following tips can help ensure the privacy of your account information:
- Notify us immediately if you notice any unusual account activity at 1-888-877-6262.
- Keep all documents that include your account information in a secure location, including monthly account statements.

What if I think my credit card number is being fraudulently used? |
|
Many times a single unauthorized charge is found to be a merchant error. Simply contacting the merchant might resolve the error quickly. However, if you think your credit card number is being fraudulently used, call customer service at 1-888-877-6262 as soon as possible. We'll cancel your card and issue a replacement immediately. You won't be liable for any unauthorized transactions on your account when you notify us promptly.

What do I do if I don't recognize the merchant listed on my statement? |
|
Some merchants may bill under a name other than their operating name or in a different province. A copy of the sales slip may assist you in recognizing the charge as one that you authorized. If you still have questions about the transaction, please contact the merchant directly.

What's a credit card dispute? |
|
A credit card dispute occurs when you question a particular transaction that you may believe is an error. The following types of transactions may be disputed in writing or by phone at 1-888-809-7321:
- Charges that list the wrong date or amount
- Duplicate charges
- Charges for goods and services you didn't accept or weren't delivered as agreed
- Failure to post credits, such as returns
- Charges for which you ask for an explanation or written proof of purchase

What if my credit card is lost or stolen? |
|
If your card is lost or stolen, you should immediately report this to us and notify all of the participating merchants with whom you've set up automatic bill payments. Once we issue you a new card, you'll need to reestablish automatic bill payments with your new card at the participating merchants.
- Credit cards. Please call us at 1-888-877-6262 as soon as you discover your credit card is missing, or call us collect at 613-907-3505. We'll cancel your card and issue a replacement immediately. You won't be liable for any unauthorized purchases or withdrawals on your account when you notify us promptly.

|
No. MasterCard offers Zero Liability if your card is ever lost or stolen. You will not be responsible for any unauthorized card transactions.

Can I access my Bank of America credit card account information online?
Yes. You can access your Bank of America credit card account information online. There is no additional charge for this service and the information is available seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Online account access service provides you with access to:
- A summary of your current account status, including balance, credit available and next payment information
- Up to at least one year of detailed account information
- Change your address
- Request a replacement card
- Add an authorized user
- Request a PIN
- Order access cheques
- Order statement copies
- View points information

|
You can access your credit card account information if you have the following: A computer, a modem, Internet access and a recommended browser. In order to meet the high security standards Bank of America requires, the following browser versions are strongly recommended: Netscape 4.0 or higher or Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 4.0 or higher.

Can I access my credit card information immediately? |
|
If you have a personal credit card account, you can begin accessing your credit card account online immediately. Our easy-to-follow auto-registration process provides step-by-step instructions on how to enroll. You will need to have your credit card number and other personal information on hand.

When is online account access available? |
|
In general, access to your credit card account information is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The system is taken offline for maintenance on Sunday mornings between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m., Pacific Time.

Yes. If you are going to be out of the country, online account access is an excellent way to monitor your credit card activity. As long as you have Internet access and are using an approved Web browser, you can access your account information from anywhere in the world

How do I check my browser version? |

You can check which browser version you have by selecting About Internet Explorer or About Netscape Navigator under the Help pull-down menu in the toolbar at the top of your browser screen.
America Online users can check which browser version they have simply entering the keyword "browser." AOL users with versions 5.01 or below of Microsoft Internet Explorer, please visit the Microsoft link below to upgrade your embedded browser. (You do not need to upgrade your version of AOL, unless you are using Windows NT with AOL 3.0.)

I'm an America Online user. Will I be able to access my credit card online? |
|
Yes. As long as you're using a recommended Internet browser in conjunction with your AOL software, you will be able to access your credit card account information online. AOL versions 5.5 and higher should include an approved version of Microsoft Internet Explorer, but you also can use an approved Netscape browser separate from your AOL software, if you prefer.

Yes, as a convenience, you can use beta browsers and operating systems to access your credit card account online. However, please keep in mind that beta versions are experimental and typically undergo significant changes by the manufacturer. As a result, we can only recommend final, officially released versions of new browsers that meet our stringent testing requirements and security standards.

Can anyone else see my account information online? Is it accessible to the public? |
|
Your online account information is not public. It is available online only through access methods that have been rigorously tested for their security. Only you can access your account information online, using your unique online ID and password. Unless you share your online ID and password, no one will be able to access your account information online. As a rule of thumb, treat your online ID and password just as you would treat your ABM PIN: Do not share your password with anyone unless you are intentionally authorizing someone to access your accounts. Also, we recommend that you memorize your password and never write it down.
