Photo Security®
Put your photo on your credit card for extra security.
Features and benefits
- Free. The Photo Security option is free and available on most personal Bank of America credit cards.1
- Security. Your picture can help to protect you from fraud if your credit card is lost, stolen or used without your permission.
- Identification. You may be able to use your photo security card as an additional form of identification.
How to add a photo to a new or existing credit card
It’s easy to add a photo to a new or existing Bank of America credit card:
- Stop by a participating Bank of America banking center. We can sign you up - and take your photo for free in just a few minutes.
- To use an existing photograph you can print mail-in form.
- Your new card will be mailed to you within two to three weeks.
- Continue to use your existing credit card until your new Photo Security credit card arrives. We’ll keep your photo on file so it automatically appears on your card when it’s reissued.

1Photo Security is available with Bank of America Visa Signature®, Bank of America Platinum Plus® Visa®, Bank of America Gold Visa, Asiana Airlines, Alaska Airlines, Mexicana Airlines, Financial Rewards, Efectiva, Choice Privileges, MilesEdge, RE/MAX MasterCard® and select WorldPoints® Visa cards. Photo Security is not available with Bank of America Rewards™ American Express®, WorldPoints MasterCard, Money Return Visa, Anne Geddes, Chrysler Rewards Visa, Jeep® Rewards Visa, Dodge Rewards, or most affinity cards, including NFL, Major League Baseball, NASCAR, and College & University cards.
