Official Rules of the Bank of America One and a Million Sweepstakes:
No Purchase or Obligation Necessary. Non-Purchase Entries and Purchase Entries have an Equal Chance of Winning. 1. To Enter: Sweepstakes begins 12:01 a.m. (PT) on December 1, 2001 and ends at 12:00 midnight (PT) on January 31, 2002 (the Promotional Period). 2. Submit a completed application with Bank of America for an Alaska Airlines VisaŽ credit card (Platinum, Gold, or Classic) during the Promotional Period and you will automatically receive one (1) entry in the Bank of America One and a Million Sweepstakes. Applications may be obtained via the Internet at www.bankofamerica.com/Pac-10, at participating Bank of America Banking Centers, or by calling 1-888-345-2632. All online applications must be received by 12:00 midnight (PT) on January 31, 2002. 3. To enter without applying, hand print your name, address, city, state, zip, day and evening phone numbers and the words Bank of America One and a Million Sweepstakes on a 3 x 5 card and mail in a #10 envelope to: Bank of America One and Million Sweepstakes, P.O. Box 4065, Grand Rapids, MN 55730-4065. All entries must be postmarked by January 31, 2002 and received by February 7, 2002. No mechanically reproduced entries accepted. All entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned. Incorrect, inaccurate & incomplete entries are void. Only one application or mail entry per person or household regardless of method of entry. 4. Prize Drawing Details: On or about February 14, 2002 a random drawing from all eligible entries (applications and mail-ins) will be conducted under the direction of Marden-Kane, Inc., an independent judging organization whose decisions are final in all matters relating to the Bank of America One and a Million Sweepstakes. All prizes will be awarded. Only one prize per person or household. 5. Estimated Odds: The odds of winning depend upon the total number of actual eligible entries received. 6. Prizes: (1) Grand Prize: Trip to the Pac-10 Tournaments March 7-9, 2002 including roundtrip coach class air transportation on Alaska Airlines for two to Los Angeles, CA from a major airport nearest the winners home that is closest to an Alaska Airlines gateway city, two (2) VIP tickets to each game of the Pac-10 Tournament during March 7-9, 2002, standard double occupancy hotel accommodations in Los Angeles for 3-nights/4-days, Pac-10 gift bag, $1,000 cash and the opportunity to shoot on-court for one (1) million Mileage Plan Miles at the Pac-10 Tournament during a semi-final game. Winners must travel between March 7 and March 9, 2002 and will have five days from date of winning to accept the prize (including these dates of travel) or prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner in a supplemental drawing from all entries received before the contest deadline. Approximate Retail Value (ARV) $2,650. (5) First Prizes: Five (5) Pairs of Alaska Airlines system-wide ticket vouchers, ARV $600 each. (50) Second Prizes: Travel bags with the Pac-10 logo, ARV $75 each. Total ARV of all prizes is $9,400. All taxes and all other expenses relating to the use of the prizes are the sole responsibility of the winners. No prize substitutions or transfer of prize permitted except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. 7. Notification: The potential Grand Prize winner will be notified by telephone on February 15, 2002 between the hours of 9AM and 9PM ET, followed by written confirmation via FEDX, and will be required to complete and sign an Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability Release, and where legal, a Publicity Release, which must be returned within 5 days via FEDX (prepaid FEDX bill of landing will be supplied) or prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. If after three (3) attempts, the potential winner cannot be reached via telephone on February 15, the prize will be forfeited and a new potential winner will be contacted on the following day in accordance with the same procedure outlined above. This procedure will be followed each day until the prize is awarded. All other winners will be notified by certified mail, return receipt requested. Grand Prize winners guest must be 18 years of age or older, or an immediate family member, and must execute a Liability Release and, where legal, a Publicity Release prior to the issuance of travel documents. If a minor, the releases must be signed by parent or legal guardian. All entrants consent to the use of their name, photograph, likeness, biography, voice and/or video for advertising or promotional purposes for this and similar promotions, including online announcements worldwide and without limitation and without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law. Upon request, the winner will provide consent to such in writing. 8. General Conditions: By participating in the FIA Card Services, N.A., One and a Million Sweepstakes, entrants agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Sponsor, Alaska Airlines, Pac-10 Teams, Pac-10 Properties, Visa U.S.A. and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, representatives and employees, including Marden-Kane, Inc. (collectively Releasees) from any liability, injuries, losses, damages, claims and actions of any kind resulting from or arising from participation in the Sweepstakes or acceptance, possession, use, non-use or inability to use the prize that may be awarded. Sponsor is not responsible for printing or typographical errors in any Sweepstakes-related materials; for stolen, lost, late, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, illegible entries or postage-due mail; or for transactions or applications that are lost, misdirected, fail to enter into the processing system, or are processed, reported, or transmitted late or incorrectly or are lost for any reason including computer, telephone, paper transfer, human or other error; or electronic, computer, or telephonic malfunction or error. If in the Sponsors opinion, there is any suspected or actual evidence or electronic or non-electronic tampering with any portion of the Sweepstakes, or if a computer virus, bugs, unauthorized intervention, fraud or technical difficulties or failures compromise or corrupt or affect the administration, integrity, security, fairness or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes, the judges reserve the right at their sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and void any entries submitted fraudulently, to modify or suspend the Sweepstakes, or to terminate the Sweepstakes and conduct a random drawing to award the prizes using all non-suspect applications and write-in entries received as of the termination date. 9. Eligibility: Bank of America One and a Million Sweepstakes is open to all legal residents of the USA, except to the residents of the following states: CO, FL, NY and the territories/possessions of Puerto Rico, Guam, and the Virgin Islands who are 18 years of age or older as of December 1, 2001.
