Community Development

National Community Relationships

Bank of America works with a number of national nonprofit organizations to maximize community impact. Our work with these organizations represents a long-term investment in helping shape public policies and attitudes that advance our commitment to leadership, community impact and corporate citizenship. These organizations have a variety of purposes and missions. They include community development nonprofits, trade associations, advocacy and constituency groups, and government-chartered and originated organizations.

Working with national nonprofit organizations helps Bank of America broaden and deepen its ability to reach significant markets and populations. Most of the organizations focus on underserved low- and moderate-income or minority communities. They help the bank expand access to credit and capital, and some organizations help the bank meet its Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) goals. In addition, the organizations educate Bank of America executives and managers about key issues in diverse communities and share opportunities to address common concerns.
